    Iris Hantverk

Since August 2012, Richard Sparrenhök and Sara Edhäll have been running Iris Hantverk, a company with a rich history in traditional brush binding. The company faced a significant challenge when Social departement withdrew aid for depot activities for visually impaired craftsmen, which had been their main revenue source since the 1950s.

Despite this setback, Sparrenhök and Edhäll, both long-time employees, took over the company, determined to preserve its legacy and support visually impaired craftsmen. They have received valuable support from De Blindas Väl, whose contributions have enabled the creation of their website and webshop.

Iris Hantverk's vision is to revitalize the traditional brush binding profession. They aim to create functional products that combine good design with the quality of natural materials and the solid techniques of their craftsmen.
The company believes in the unique value of hand-drawn brushes made from natural materials. They strive to create products that appeal to those who appreciate the feeling and quality of traditionally crafted items.
